George Leone, founder of Citadel Patent Law, started a career in high technology fields as an electronics engineer working on advanced ground radar systems for Cornell Aeronautical Labs (later Calspan Corporation). He continued work on space and avionics systems as an engineer for Honeywell Inc. for several years before acquiring his law degree. Since beginning work as a patent attorney in 1983, George has written patents and successfully prosecuted applications for systems ranging from ring laser gyros to automated cancer screening systems. George’s experience includes work as an in-house patent attorney for a fortune 100 corporation, business litigation in a major Minneapolis Law firm and founding and managing his own law firm.
Over 30 years of experience in preparing, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, including international filings, as well as infringement and validity studies, licensing, litigation support, patent portfolio management, and trademark and copyright practice. Areas of emphasis include electronic, electrical, and mechanical arts, biomedical and medical devices, computer software, optics, lasers, visioning systems, target recognition, GPS, and navigation displays.
